Hey, I’m Selene

I’m a business lawyer with a background in Big Law — now working with coaches, creators, and online entrepreneurs.

I’m here to help you structure your business, contracts, and deals in a way that actually makes sense for how you operate.

Phase 1: Big Law and High-Stakes Transactions

I didn’t start my career in the online business world.

I started working as an M&A lawyer on international deals in Big Law — drafting and negotiating contracts for startups, investors, private equity firms, and global companies.

These were complex, cross-border transactions with high-stakes.

The work was detail-heavy and very precise.
Every clause had a purpose.
Every risk was considered.
Every deal had to hold up under pressure.

That’s where I learned what actually makes a contract solid — and what makes it fall apart.

Phase 2: Discovering the Online Business World (And What Was Wrong With It)

Not to age myself, but around that time, I was also watching a completely different world explode online.

Coaches launching programs.
Creators building brands.
Entrepreneurs selling digital products and services.

Naturally, I got curious about the legal side of it.

And when I looked into it, my first thought was:

…who the fluff is writing these contracts?

The, I realized that a lot of these templates were created by lawyers who:

  • didn’t have real experience drafting high-quality contracts

  • didn’t even try to understand how coaches, creators, and the digital products business actually operated

  • created generic contracts that missed important niche-specific risks

  • and (let’s be honest) were selling to an audience that wouldn’t know what a strong contract should look like anyway

Which meant online entrepreneurs were relying on contracts that didn’t actually protect them.

That’s when I realized there was a major gap.

So, that's where I stepped into it and started Selene the Lawyer.

Phase 3: From Lawyer to Strategic Partner

After working with thousands of entrepreneurs in this space, something shifted.

I wasn’t just drafting contracts anymore.

I was seeing patterns in:

  • what business models and offers worked — and what failed

  • how deals could be negotiated for maximum upside

  • where people were unknowingly giving away too much

  • and how most problems could have been avoided with a better structure upfront

And naturally, my role evolved.

Today, I still create contract templates and draft custom agreements — that’s a core part of my work.

But alongside that, I’ve become a strategic partner to my clients, helping them:

  • structure their businesses more intelligently

  • spot where they might be leaving opportunities on the table

  • identify risks early (before they turn into real problems)

  • and make decisions that support long-term growth

Because a contract is never just a document. It’s a reflection of how your business is designed.

What I Do Now

Today, I help online entrepreneurs structure their businesses, contracts, and deals in a way that protects them — and supports how they grow.

These are my core offers and how we can work together:

1️⃣ Start with Contract Templates

Most people begin with a contract template.

If you’re setting up your business or refining your offers, my contract templates will give you a solid legal foundation and help you:

  • set clear boundaries with clients

  • protect your content and intellectual property

  • and avoid common legal mistakes early on

This is my flagship service — where we look at your business more holistically.

3️⃣ Structure Your Deals & Contracts for Maximum Upside & Minimal Risk

As your business grows, you’ll start entering collaborations, partnerships, licensing deals, and higher-value client agreements

And this is where most people either (1) leave money on the table or (2) take on unnecessary risk.

I can help you:

4️⃣ Step Into Bigger Opportunities

For some clients, the next step is bigger.

Acquiring a business.
Investing in one.
Or structuring more complex transactions.

That’s where my Business Acquisition & Deal Structuring Advisory comes in.
